They have a very large facility in Cortland NY. Like many old industrial buildings in the Northeast US, heating expenses are an annual problem.

We’ve created 25% annual savings with capital costs recouping in the first winter’s season!!
GoVo Biofuels made two modifications in the Winter of 2008 for Cortland Foundations. First, we researched, supplied and installed state-of-the-art plastic materials to insulate the 70 plus windows on the factory’s upper floors. These poly-carbonate, rigid and incredibly lightweight materials act like a replacement window at half the cost. Previously, the company used plastic sheeting with tack strips. The sun’s UV had virtually destroyed the plastic in just a few years, leaving tattered plastic flapping in the drafty windows. Literally, when the wind blew, the plastic would shift positions like a flag. The draft on the upper floor has stopped and during winter of 2008, the amount of energy required to heat this floor has been drastically reduced -- it is virtually heated by the convection from the two lower floors.

GoVo Biofuels also researched and secured installation for the largest modification to this factory’s energy system in 50 years -- a new burner assembly for their boiler. The new PowerFlame burner is a multi-fuel heavy oil burner. It can consume a wide variety of fuel oils -- Including Vegetable Oil! GoVo Biofuels now supplies tens of thousands of gallons of clean, processed waste vegetable oil to heat the building.
